SWF, Shockwave Flash, is a technology owned by Adobe Systems Inc. Mostly it is used for storing videos and the file extension is “.swf”. Flash to PNG Converter Command Line is a tool for extracting frames of SWF to PNG images.

Flash to PNG Converter is oriented to MS-DOS interface use, and it's free for downloading and evaluation. You can instantly run this application after unpack the downloaded package into your disk.

Before running the application, you have to open a MS-DOS command prompt window. Press and hold "Window" button and press "R" of keyboard, input "cmd" in the dialog of "Run", press [OK], and then a MS-DOS command prompt window is opened. For convenient use, you can change the default current directory of your command prompt window to the directory where the converter program is stored. In the case, the application is saved in "E:\swf2img_cmd", and the current path of the MS-DOS command prompt window is "E:\swf2img_cmd".

A simple usage of the application for converting SWF to PNG is like this,
>swf2img.exe -in a.swf -out b.png .

In the command line, "swf2img" is the executable file of the application, option "-in" with argument "a.swf" is for specifying the source SWF file, and option "-out" with "b.png" is for specifying the name of output PNG images. If the source SWF file has more than one frame, the output PNG images will be named with the specified name followed by continuously increasing digits. For instance, the output PNG images will be named as "b0001.png", "b0002.png" …
