Snapshot Character OCR can be used to snapshot characters in any area such as in folder trees, error messages, status bars, protected documents, buttons, etc. The application can recognize many kinds of languages accurately with the best OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology in the market and save the characters to editable Text document.

The main interface of Snapshot Character OCR is shown in Figure1. In the clear interface, you can see three buttons and a combo box. If you want to get the basic information about Snapshot Character OCR, please click "About" button. Before launch the application, you should choose language option in "Language" combo box according to source file language. Then please click "Capture" button.

A prompt will appear in the left top corner of the screen and it will remind you to press the left button of the mouse and draw a rectangle to snapshot characters and right click the mouse or hit "Esc" on the keyboard to finish the snapshotting. Then click "OCR" button below the snapshotted area. You will see the widow of Snapshot Character OCR text. Please see it in Figure2.

You are able to see the snapshotted area in the image preview area on the left of the window. For the purpose of better browsing the snapshotted image, you can use the buttons above the preview area to zoom in, zoom out, rotate, reverse, etc. the image. On the left, you can see all the characters are recognized accurately to text. Before saving them to editable Text document, you can make some changes to them such as pasting, copying and so on. Then please use the "Save" button or "Save as" button to store the Text document in default directory or a newly specified directory in "OCR Txt File Save" dialog box.
