Screen Snapshot OCR supports to snapshot the screen and recognizes the characters in it. The application allows recognizing many kinds of languages in the snapshotted screen such as English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, etc. If you want to use other languages, you can download the language packages online. When you snapshot the screen, Screen Snapshot OCR must be a useful tool.

The application is free for trial. You can download and evaluate it via clicking here. You can get the full function of the application via buying a single-user personal license for it. There are also four other licenses for the application, if you need, please click here to buy one of them.

Please see the user interface of Screen Snapshot OCR in Figure1 in which there are three buttons and a combo box. So it is a clear interface which is easy to operate. Choose the language option in option box according to the source file language before launching this application. Then please click "Capture" button. You will see a prompt in the left corner of the screen, which shows you the operation steps to snapshot the screen. Left click to snapshot the area needed extracting characters by drawing a rectangular. Then right click or hit "Esc" button to complete the snapshotting. Click "OCR" button then you will see the window form of Screen Snapshot OCR. Please see it in Figure2.

There is an image preview area for you to browse snapshotted screenshot on the left of the window form. To see different image effects, you can use the buttons above the area to zoom in, zoom out, rotate or reverse the image. On the right, you can see all the recognized characters by the application. If you want to save these characters to Text document, please click "File"—"Save Text" or "File"—"Save Text as". You can also use the "Save" button or "Save as" button above the recognized characters.
