PNG to EPS Vector Converter |
PNG stands for Portable Network Graphics which is a raster image format widely used for displaying pictures on the Internet. A raster image has a disadvantage that it will lose the image quality and clarity when the image is magnified. PNG to EPS Vector Converter is a tool designed for converting raster PNG to EPS vector files. A vector image uses control points and paths to save the information of the image. |
PNG to EPS Vector Converter is free for downloading and evaluation. The application is developed for MS-DOS interface and you can directly unpack it into your disk after downloading. |
This application is only for MS-DOS command use, and you have to open a MS-DOS command prompt window before running it. Follow path [start] [Run] input “cmd” press [OK], and then you will open a MS-DOS command prompt window. For easy use, you can change the default current path of the MS-DOS prompt window to the one linked to PNG to EPS Converter. |
After setting the current directory to the one that the application is saved in, you can use a basic command line to convert raster image of PNG to EPS file,
>Raster2Vector.exe raster.PNG vector.eps . |
In the command line, “Raster2Vector.exe” is the executable file of the converter, “raster.PNG” is the source raster image and “vector.eps” is the converted vector EPS image. In the conversion process, the converter calculated out the control points and paths, and then rebuilt the image in vector EPS format. The following two figures are the displaying effects of the raster PNG image and vector EPS image. |

In the above figure, you can see that the curves in the raster PNG image will lose its smoothness when the image is magnified. |

The next figures shows that the curves of the converted vector EPS image can remain smooth and clear when the image is magnified.
PNG to EPS Converter is specially developed for server and developer use. You can buy a server license using which you can run this application for batch process on your server. If you want to redistribute this application within your developed software, please buy a developer license. |
