This article would like to show you how to edit hyperlink of PDF file during creating PDF file on Windows platforms. 🙂

Step1. Launch software and add source file

Please double-click shortcut so that its GUI interface pops on screen, and then, please click hotkey ctrl + o to open dialog box, and select source file, e.g., TIFF file, in there, and click open, finally, this file can be opened in GUI interface directly.

Or, if you want a quicker way to add source file, please drag and drop this supported file to GUI interface directly. 🙂

Step2. Edit hyperlink in advance

When adding is complete, on GUI interface, please click Edit Link directly on tool bar, and then, to edit hyperlink for later PDF file, please do the followings:

• Draw a rectangle with mouse in current preview page
• To add hyperlink and edit hyperlink properties, click this rectangle with right button of mouse > select Properties
• On Properties panel, you can edit URL you want to add in PDF later in edit box Address after click radio Open a web page, and then, link type, color, style, or even thickness of rectangle, could be selected flexibly
• Click Ok on this panel in order to save them and close this panel

Moreover, if you need to attach a file in created PDF later, just click radio Open a file > select a file in pop dialog box after click Browse > click Open, then, likely, please click OK to save it and close panel.

Step3. Create PDF with hyperlink set from source file

After prepared work is finished, please set targeting folder, targeting format and start process:

Click hotkey ctrl + shift + s > select folder in pop dialog box > select targeting format as PDF on dropdown list Save As Type > click save, finally, after one second, created PDF file with edited hyperlink could be added into targeting folder directly. And then, when you move your mouse onto where you set hyperlink just now, a hand tool appears on preview page of PDF, and one click on it could help you open that web page directly, if you would like. 🙂

Step1. Open GUI interface and add supported file

Step2. Annotate PDF in advance

After adding file, please annotate PDF in advance with this way:

1. Click Edit Comment in toolbar
2. In activated tool buttons, please click so that you can annotate file in advance
3. After you click button above, there will be coming out, double-click which, you can get dialog window for you to edit annotation on PDF file
4. During annotating PDF with that dialog window, one click with right mouse button on upside border of dialog window leads to Properties panel popping on screen, where you can set dialog window color and annotation opacity, etc., then click close, so setting here can be effective in dialog window directly

Step3. Create annotated PDF file

After basic setting on annotating PDF, please click hotkey ctrl + shift + s, and then, after you set targeting folder in pop dialog box and click save, and then, later on, created PDF with annotation could be produced in your computer. 🙂

For this problem can be easily solved through GUI version of this software, so please allow me to give you an example to use GUI version here to add comment into PDF when creating PDF file from supported image file, e.g., JPG, TIF, GIF, etc.:

Step1. Open GUI interface and add source image file

Please double-click shortcut to open GUI interface of this application, and then, click hotkey ctrl + o so that in pop dialog box, it is easy to select right supported source file there, and then, you need to click Open there so that this selected file can be previewed in GUI interface.

Step2. Add comment

And after opening source file in GUI interface, please add comment firstly like this:

Please click Edit Comment on toolbar, and then, you can separately click one of to add comment with text, note, stamp or graphics/pencil drawing:

• When you use to edit text comment, you can click right mouse button in pop edit-box, so, you can set text properties in Properties panel, e.g., appearance of font style, thickness, border color, fill color, font size, font opacity, etc., finally, click Close so that settings here can be saved and this panel can be closed

• When you use to edit note comment, you can still edit note properties through clicking right button of mouse on pop edit-box, e.g, appearance note color, opacity, etc., finally, click Close, panel can be closed and setting can be saved

• When you use to edit stamp comment, after you select right picture as stamp in pop dialog box, likely, you can take action above to edit stamp options, e.g., transparent color, opacity, color, etc., and still, please click Close to save setting

• When you use one of to edit graphics comments, after you get related graphics in preview of added file, it is not hard to edit its properties through clicking right button of mouse, e.g., rectangle options, such as color, thickness of rectangle, color in rectangle, opacity of rectangle, etc., and finally, likely, to click Close helps you save setting here

When you finish all settings about editing comments like above, you can click tab Comments on the left side of preview panel, and then, all editing traces can be found there. And here is relevant snapshot of finished preview panel after comments below:

And when you complete all settings about editing comments, please click hotkey ctrl + shift + s to get dialog box for setting targeting folder there, and then, one click on save starts to make this software create commented PDF file.
